Manuel D. Rodriguez, DO, MPH, FACP

Manuel D. Rodriguez, DO, MPH, physician at Infectious Disease Services of Georgia

Since childhood Dr. Manuel Rodriguez knew he wanted to help others. He became a physician following that passion. After completing his training, he and his wife decided that the wanted to be closer to family when raising their children and that led them to Georgia.

Infectious Disease allows Dr. Rodriguez to maintain a broad view of the human body and interact with other specialties. As a Doctor of Osteopathy, he has continued the traditions of listening to every patient and treating them as individuals and not just their disease. His current clinical interests are prosthetic joint infections, treatment of mycobacterial pneumonias, antibiotic stewardship, and HIV.

Dr. Rodriguez enjoys teaching and educating patients, students, and the community at large. This has led to opportunities at the local, state, and regional levels to lecture. Additionally, he has participated in several podcasts and tv segments. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.
