Marie Turner, BS, BSN, RN, CWON
Marie Turner, a Charleston, SC native, enjoys nursing as a second career. In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, Marie attained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC in 2008. Her interest in wound care propelled her education further by attending Emory University’s Woodruff School of Nursing Wound Ostomy Continence Program. Since becoming nationally certified in 2010 as a wound ostomy nurse (CWON), Marie has again furthered her education by just graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
She is a member of the Wound Ostomy Continence Society and has served as a preceptor for Emory’s WOCN program. Regarding community service, Marie is an active participant in North Fulton’s Ostomy Support Group. In her spare time she enjoys red wine tastings, Carolina Shag dancing, perennial gardening and is an avid concert goer.
